About Ivan

I was born and raised in Kent County in the Burton Heights, Godfrey-Lee and Roosevelt Park neighborhoods. I graduated from Godfrey-Lee High School in 2016, received my associate’s degree from Grand Rapids Community College and am currently a senior at Grand Valley State University, where I am studying Political Science and International Relations. I have spent the last few years since I graduated from Lee working on a broad mission to improve the conditions in my communities, including by serving on the Godfrey-Lee Equity Steering Committee and the Lee Soccer Alumni Association. I hope to continue giving back to my community by being elected Kent County Commissioner in District 20.
